Even though Kendra was asleep Rebekah needed some peace and quiet. She slipped out of bed and headed for the grounds. The castle may of been the worst place to live but it was truly beautiful in the light of the early morning. She climbed up into the tree and watched the sun rise from her perch. A sudden movement near the lake caught her eye, she narrowed her eyes and saw a figure of a girl...someone who looked familiar. "Tori?" she called. Her head rose and she looked around her searching for the source of the voice. "Over here!" Rebekah called as she jumped down from the tree. Tori saw her and waved, "hey, how come you're up so early?" "What about you?" "Touche." "I needed to think,"Rebekah said sittng down next to her. "The quiet helps." "Yeah." "So what were you thinking about? If you don't mind me asking." "My parents, it's been six months today since they died." "Oh I'm sorry." "It's okay. I just miss them." "Of course." Later that morning as Rebekah entered the main h! all Daniel ran up to her and hugged her waist. "Hi," she whispered kissing his head. "I miss them," he mumbled hugging her tighter. "I know Danny I do too." "Can we do something for them?" "Like what?" "We could light a candle." "Ok Danny we'll do that." That night Rebekah met Daniel outside his room and together they walked to the grounds and put the candle down underneath a tree. Lighting the candle Daniel said, "the dead we love never truly leave us." Rebekah took his hand as they sat on the grass
